NSPS is proud to raffle this one-of-a-kind  piece, crafted from the 1942 Douglas Fir tongue and groove lumber used on the cab walls and ceiling of the 576. Sealed with museum quality glass and hangers that easy level when hung. Incredibly, also included is a Case Trapper Knife featuring the same wood on the handle, and 3D Laser engraved with 576. This beautiful Case Trapper is a one and only, and is marked 1 of 1 on the blade. Scrolled bolsters. Also on the blade is inscribed, Steaming The Stripe Forever. Made in USA. And, there’s more! This mint set also includes a Challenge Coin, number 1 of 100, from our sequentially numbered set of coins available on our Company Store. The coin is double sided, and features both ALCO and NC&StL logos. Intelligent design construction allows the coin to be “Flipped” by turning a knob at the display bottom, so both sides can be appreciated. A sure way to start a conversation! Also includes an engraved info plaque, with the following text:

“Nashville Steam Preservation Society is pleased to present the first wood handled Case Knife Trapper made from the interior trim of theDuchess #576 cab. Volunteers carefully dismantled the tongue and groove bead board from the walls & ceiling. The Douglas Fir was specifically used for its abilities to withstand extreme heat, cold and wet conditions and is also insect resistant. The one-of-a-kind collectible is the only one that will ever be built. Steaming the Stripe Forever. 2022”

This mint set is 16″ tall, 12 3/4″ wide and 5″ deep. Will have a certificate of authenticity. All wood used comes from the 576. Hand built by NSPS volunteers.
