The Nashville Steam Preservation Society’s proposal to lease, restore, and operate steam locomotive No. 576 will be presented to the Metro Council, for the first reading, on Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the David Scobey Council Chamber in the Metro Courthouse. This will be the first of at at least 3 meetings with them that require their approval to finalize the lease agreement. We are hopeful that the lease agreement will be finalized late August or September.
