Join us for a ride aboard a mainline steam locomotive! The 765 has been operating in excursion service almost continuously since its own revival in 1979 and recently hosted several members of our crew. Get a glimpse of what awaits Nashville, Tennessee when our very own 576 becomes a tourist attraction for our region!
What will it be like to have our very own operating steam locomotive? Volunteers Stephen Hook and Jim Painter recently spent time aboard Nickel Plate Road no. 765 to learn servicing, firing, and even spent a little time at the throttle! We're grateful to our friends at the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society for an educational trip and look forward to sharing more from their journey in the next Road to Revival episode this Wednesday!
